We at SpeedboatPerformance.com strive to meet your needs and help you maximize the performance of your boat. As with any complex engineering problem, results of even the best computer predictions can, on occasion, be incomplete or invalid. Many variables exist which are beyond our control, such as the actual condition of the bottom of your boat, running gear and propeller(s).
Peformance predictions made by SpeedboatPerformance.com represent the performance level your boat should achieve given optimum condition of your equipment, and is intended to serve as a tool to help you get there.
The computer simulation code SpeedboatDynamics is applicable only to high-performance, Deep-V type, offshore vessels. Do not attempt to try and predict the performance characteristics of catamarans or other types of hullforms with it. The program calculates aerodynamic lift and drag, using routines that are monohull-specific.
SpeedboatPerformance.com cannot be held liable for any decisions you make regarding your boat's setup or operation, although we do recommend that you rigorously inspect and maintain your vessel on a regular basis. By using the program, the user consents to limiting the liability of SpeedboatPerformance.com to the dollar amount invested by the user.
SpeedboatPerformance.com also encourages safe and prudent navigation and operation of all high-performance vessels, in compliance with all State and Federal regulations. Ensure that, before you attempt high-speed test runs, you are in a location free from underwater obstructions, shallow water, locations with posted or unposted speed limits and/or noise limits. Verify that you have at least one other source of reliable navigation information aboard besides a GPS unit. Finally, please be considerate of other boaters and waterfront communities to preserve our welcome in these places.
